Peter Schiff is one of the most recognizable voices in American economic commentary, known for a market philosophy built on sound money, precious metals, and skepticism of central bank policy. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, and educated at UC Berkeley, Schiff began his career in 1987 as a financial consultant with Shearson Lehman Brothers before joining Euro Pacific Capital in 1996, where he became president in 2000. Today he serves as founder, CEO, and chief economist of Euro Pacific Asset Management, founder of SchiffGold and host of the Peter Schiff Show,.

Schiff earned national attention in 2008 when he was among a small handful of economists who had publicly and repeatedly warned of the housing bubble and subprime mortgage collapse well before it happened. He has built on that reputation as an author, writing books including "Crash Proof: How to Profit from the Coming Economic Collapse" and "The Real Crash: America's Coming Bankruptcy," and as a frequent guest on Fox News, Fox Business, CNBC, and CNN, where he argues for gold, foreign currencies, and international diversification over dollar-denominated assets.

On the Roundtable 100 Blue Ribbon Committee, Schiff brings a contrarian, macro-first lens to the panel, a useful counterweight in a ranking built around growth technology, crypto, and next-generation public markets, and a reminder to weigh currency and monetary risk alongside innovation and growth.
